A live-data site-specific art installation
Making personal data tangible, intimate, and strangely beautiful.
At Money20/20, databloom captivated 300+ visitors and generated 157 new business leads.

A live-data, site-specific art installation for Publicis Sapient's Open Futures initiative.

Data usually lives in spreadsheets and policies. We wanted it to live somewhere else: in the body, in the room, in the air between people.

Databloom is an immersive installation that makes personal data tangible, intimate, and strangely beautiful - not as extraction, but as presence. Created to establish Publicis Sapient as a thought leader in open banking and data strategy, it proved that data could be as beautiful as it is valuable.
The Experience
Two rooms. One journey.
1) The bloom - an embodied ritual
A custom device captures a small set of your signals: heartbeat, height, and colour.
Those signals become a living, interactive bloom on screen- your data, breathing with you.
Then you exhale.
Your “data particles” are released into a shared cloud, like dandelion seeds leaving the stem.

2) The gallery- a speculative future you can walk through
A manifesto film anchors the space, framed by photographic “case studies from the future” - showing what becomes possible when personal data is organised with care, creativity, and consent.
Outcome
Databloom didn't just visualise data. It shifted the feeling around it.
From "minefield" to "material." From compliance to imagination.

Over three days at Money20/20, it became a conversation magnet: 300+ visitors, 157 leads, and a foundation for ongoing thought leadership and new business dialogue.
For Publicis Sapient, it positioned the firm as visionaries in open banking - proving that when you make the complex beautiful, you make it possible.
By marrying art and commerce, we proved that data can be as beautiful as it is valuable.

Energy, phone, banking, insurance: handled. It adapts as your circumstances change.
A home that pays its own way
Solar value becomes a financial instrument that offsets mortgage pressure and unlocks new choices.
A bank that supports health, not just wealth

Branding & Identity
"The databloom logo captures the quiet power of data- organic, feminine, and full of potential."
We built an identity that refused the usual tech aesthetic.
The visual language drew from dandelions: soft power, dispersal, latent potential.
A deliberate counterpoint to hard-edged masculine futurism and proof that intelligent systems can be tender.
